Project: Philip K. Dick

Project: Philip K Dick Bibliographic Compilation

If you are taking the time to browse this page then I imagine you are an avid collector like myself and hungy for new introductions, editions, revisions, etc.  Not to mention those books written by others.  Scholarly analysis.  Articles.  Biographies.  Alternate media.   It's boundless.  His novels have been reprinted so many times, in so many incarnations, that's it's tough to know all that is out there; as I found when I began collecting lo these many years ago.  I hope to bring together the printing history of each book Phil wrote, within terms of first printings by each publisher, or reprints where content was added or changed.

With this project, I endeavor to pool all the bibliographic information I have at my disposal along with my own knowledge gained in my journeys of collecting and even meeting those who knew him in life.  I've found that each source carries the standard information; but each has unique details to offer, and I give acknowledgement to the following sources:

  • L. W. Currey catalogs and their Science-Fiction & Fantasy Index.
  • Daniel J. H. Levack's PKD: A Philip K Dick Bibliography
  • Phil Stephenson Payne & Gordon Benson Jr.'s Metaphysical Conjurer (4th Edition)
  • Zack Wood, www.thephildickian.com (Editions, points and information I've added.)

I've noted where one source was used, and where I pulled from two sources for the same edition.  When there is no souce given, you can assume that I pulled a little from all including myslef.  If you would like to know the sources used when not stated, you are welcome to contact me and I'll provide the information.
